Bengali actress Tanu Roy will be seen portraying the role of a police officer in her forthcoming Malayalam movie, ‘Prachayi’. The Ee Adutha Kaalathu actress says that playing a cop isn’t as easy as it may seem.
Comparing the role with the one she had played in Fahadh Faasil starrer D Company, Tanu said, “In ‘D Company’, the cop shades of my character was revealed only towards the end. However, in Parchayi , I am a Delhi-based policewoman who comes to Kerala for investigation and would be seen in the cop get-up throughout the movie. Her name is Radhika Nair. She isn’t one of those loud, scary officers, but is quite calm and stern as a person”.
The actress added, “It was the first time I was wearing a police uniform and I was quite excited about it. But, wear it once in the hot climate of our country and one would realise how it can make you sweat! Regardless, I felt tremendous respect for cops”. Tanu Roy has completed shooting for ‘Prachayi’, which has been helmed by Majeed Yasin.
